What is the difference between airbrush and traditional makeup?

Airbrush makeup is applied through an air compressor, it is popular due to it’s longevity and is sweat/tear proof due to its silicone base. Traditional makeup is hand applied using brushes. Both styles of makeup are long lasting and suited for HD photography.

I don’t wear a lot of makeup, will it suit me?

Just speak to your stylist about your concerns, we can apply a lighter coverage foundation and natural finish that will still photograph nicely and last all day. You can choose not to have false lashes applied and softer eye makeup for a more natural look.

Are you experienced with asian, ethnic, acne/oily or mature skin

Yes, we have years of experience working with many different skin tones/types. We have products and colours to cater for each individuals needs.

What if I am vegan/have allergies or sensitive skin?

Just let your stylist know, we have products suited for your skin and can ensure we stay clear of anything that may irritate you.

Question
Answer

Will I need to book a trial? When is best?

A trial is the opportunity for you to see your artists work before the day. It is also the chance to try out any ideas you may have in mind. If you are undecided in what hair/makeup looks for your big day, it is a good idea to book in for a trial and see what works best for you and see how the look photographs and wears throughout the day.

Generally a trial is done after you have finalised the other details of the wedding such as your dresses, bouquets, styling. It’s great if you have photos to show your stylist on the day so she can get a feel for the entire day.

Looks that last the distance...

How long will it take?

Hairstyling usually takes 45mins per person and makeup 45mins. We usually alternate between hair and makeup, we allow some extra time at the end for touchups.

How long will my hair and makeup last?

We use the highest quality products to prep and prime the skin, create a flawless coverage and then ‘set’ your makeup in place to ensure it lasts for your wedding/event. We tend to use matte products for oilier skin types to ensure a shine free finish.

Do you have touch up kits?

Yes, you can order a touch up kit. These need to be preordered so please let us know in advance if you will require one on the day.

How far out should I book?

Generally we book out quite quickly, especially in Spring and Autumn as these are our peak times. The sooner the better as we can’t guarantee someone else won’t come along and book your date.
